Current Activites: Well I have now been in DC for just over a year working as a political fundraiser. Currently, I am consulting on an Attorney General's race which brings me to scenic Youngstown, Ohio every two weeks. It looks like the town that time forgot out there! Joselyn is going into her second and final year at Georgetown's Public Policy Institute and is trying to figure out where to she wants to devote her considerable talents. I have decided (quite recently) to devote my energy to applying to grad school for 2007. I am hoping to study some form of International Relations with a concentration on Middle-East/Arab Studies, which is why I am enrolling in an Arabic course in the fall. Wish us Luck!

Current Activites: I finally made the big move down to Virginia where Dat is currently stationed. We live in Buckroe Beach in a house with a Large fence around the yard... good thing with how big that little monster is going to get!... and I'm so damn excited for the summer sun everyone here keeps telling me is coming... "oh you just wait small...". I just took a position as the Practice Manager of a veterinary hospital and am now knee deep in personnel/operational issues, but am absolutely loving the challenge and having the opportunity to work around animals every day. I won't begin grad school until Dat and I go overseas on his next assignment, which won't be for a year or two. I'll be ready to get back overseas and doing human aide work at that point I'm sure! :)

Current Activites: We're doing really well and enjoying life. Mike is teaching at a special education school. (You know the students that were in your class one day and then disappeared after they went off on your teacher . . . now they are at his school!) He teaches behavioral disordered students and he LOVES it! He's really good with them! I am working as a college admissions counselor. Actually the college I attended back in Ohio, but now I'm regional, so I travel around New England in the Fall and Spring a little bit. When I'm not traveling I work from home . . . ummm score! I love it. Life is good and we are happy! . . . AND NOW WE'RE MARRIED!!!
Our Kitties We have two cats both with close ties to Ghana . . . Kabob and Bean. They're the best ever. Kabob even plays fetch and keeps us highly entertained.

Current Activites: I am now back to being a city girl and am soooo happy about it! I will never leave the city again!
I have a real job at an international company called Globe Union. I am an Account Executive, Home Depot is my only acct! Good thing is I travel a lot and am making a significant amount of money. Still planning on going to grad school, but I am sticking around in Atlanta. I am actually moving in with a friend of mine downtown very soon. So life is moving along for me, finally!
Atlanta is a happening place and there are so many festivals and great clubs to go to here, so anyone and everyone are welcome!

Picture This picture is from my visit to Columbus, OH over Labor Day Weekend 2005. I got in touch with Raja's brother, Kofi. The picture was taken at Kofi's house after eating omo tuo with groundnut soup. It was excellent. The guy in the middle is a friend of Kofi's who was visiting from Ghana.
Visitors So I have moved again and I would LOVE visitors. Allison Stroh is living with me, too, at least for a few months.

Worked for UNL from April '05 to October '06. University culture is harder to figure than Ghanaian. Taught a couple university courses in Thailand in fall/winter 06. Now back at UNL managing a lecture series on international issues (http://enthompson.unl.edu)and advising political science students. My advice? Major in something that will get you a job! or join the Peace Corps.

Sent my nephew off to study in Botswana in Spring '09 and hoping to visit before he comes home.

Current Activites: I now have a job crazier than the Peace Corps. I am a "houseparent" to emotionally disturbed teenage girls. I work 80 hour shift including sleeping at my job.
